You are required to Design & Make a Clock for a situation decided by yourself. The clock movement supplied is shown above (actual size).

The assessment will evaluate your capability in working through the Design Process, Communicating your thinking through a well presented Design Folder, and Making the clock to a High Standard.

The following specifications are just a start to your personal list of at least eight.

1 The project must be completed by the week in which the School exams start.

2 Your clock must not exceed a 300mm square in size. (Unless it has been discussed and agreed by your teacher).

3 You must use the clock movement supplied.

We will expect to see a healthy amount of research work carried out (Easter is a good time for this). Innovative ideas will be given appropriate credit.

Remember - this is a Year 9 project and therefore should be of a standard expected at your level. You should draw upon previous experience, and look for interesting (and achievable) ways of utilising materials and techniques.
